Leadership and Communication in Crisis

This course will equip leaders with the skills and knowledge to effectively lead teams, and make critical decisions under high-pressure situations.  You will learn how to create open and transparent communication and foster a sense of trust, collaboration, and resilience within teams. The course covers practical aspects of communication such as active listening, empathy, and compassion, and how to ensure that all team members feel heard and understood. We will cover topics such as well-being, self-care, and building personal resilience in crisis.

Team Management in Crisis

This course focuses on managing and supporting teams during high-stress situations. Topics include assigning roles, allocating resources, maintaining morale, effectively delegating tasks, and providing emotional support to team members. The course covers topics such as effective team structures and communication, team cohesion and resilience, promoting positive emotions in teams, self-care, and well-being.

Self-care, Wellbeing and Resilience

Training in self-care, well-being, and resilience is essential to emergency responders during and after traumatic events. This training focuses on recognising and managing personal stress and trauma, setting boundaries, accessing support systems, and practicing self-care to prevent burnout. It covers topics such as managing emotional and mental well-being, and resilience building.

Trauma Awareness

This course raises awareness about Post Traumatic Stress (PTS) and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) symptoms, risk factors, and the importance of early identification and intervention. It helps responders understand the potential long-term impact of trauma and how to support affected individuals. The course includes information and training in Post-Traumatic Growth (PTG), the positive psychological change after a traumatic event.
