Scholarship in Project Management for Conservation and Collections Care Students

 

Heritage Collections Care Consortium is offering scholarships to conservation and collections care students to attend a two one-day courses in project management. The purpose of the scholarships is to prepare students for working on projects in the heritage sector. There are six scholarships available: two for students attending the course held for Europe and the United Kingdom, two for students attending the course held for the Americas, and two for Australasia.

The successful candidates will attend two highly practical project management courses, with an opportunity to meet other heritage professionals. You will work on real-life case studies and learn how to use project management tools in practice. The candidates will receive one-to-one tuition before and after the courses.

Conditions for Application

• You must be studying towards a qualification in conservation, preventive conservation, collections care, collections management or museum studies.

• You need to commit to attending two professional courses and a minimum of two hours of one-to-one or small group tuition. For course dates please see www.heritagecollectioncare.com/courses.

To apply for the scholarship please provide the following information in electronic form as a pdf document:

• State your name, the name of the institution you are studying with and the name and contact details of your supervisor supporting your application

• Please state in few sentences how the knowledge and skills of project management might help you in your future work
