Project Management in Conservation and Collections Care
This highly practical course will provide those working in conservation and collections care with an understanding of how to plan projects in a heritage setting. Participants will work on a case study and practice tools and techniques that will help them to set-up and run small and mid-size projects efficiently. The course is intended for conservators, collections and conservation managers and other heritage professionals who are managing projects such as remedial conservation, organising exhibitions, gallery refurbishments or storing and moving collections.
This course has been successfully run since 2011, with, to date some 800 heritage professionals and students taking part. It has been delivered in cooperation with national institutions such as the British Library and the Victoria and Albert Museum, and more recently with the National Library of Scotland and the Institute of Conservator-Restorers in Ireland.
