Tabletop exercises are one of the most time and cost-effective ways of assessing the level of emergency preparedness of an organisation and its emergency response team. In this course you will learn how to plan, deliver and evaluate an emergency tabletop exercise in practice. The course will cover the following:

  • Planning a tabletop exercise: defining purpose and setting objectives, preparing exercise manual document, scenario development and planning logistics

  • Delivery: practical arrangements, facilitating and moderating the exercises and scenario presentation

  • Evaluation: successful debriefing, giving feedback and reporting

This course is highly practical, and the participants will be required to actively engage in the process of planning, conducting and evaluating a tabletop exercise during the course. The number of participants is limited to 20.
